Keeping your chrome bookmarks, passwords and history during the Windows 10 update

A lot of us rely on our saved bookmarks, passwords and history in Google Chrome.  Because of an update to Windows 10 that is underway by our IT department, everyone will need to sign into Chrome to save these features and settings by end of day this Friday, August 31st.

See the below message from our Technical Support Analyst Will Doren:

"We are in the process of updating Windows 10 to the latest version. With this upgrade your google chrome will be reset to the original settings therefore erasing your saved bookmarks passwords and history, but by signing into Chrome you can save all these features and settings. Please see the instructions below and use your CCI Issued GMail Account.  This will be courtinnovation.org, sossouthbronx.org, crownheights.org, legalhand.org. If you have any questions please reach out to ccitechsupport@nycourts.gov for help."

Please see this article about how to save your Google Chrome settings.  This update is only related to settings on your desktop, so please disregard Part 3 of the article about mobile settings.

Listing a meeting attendee as optional vs. required

When sending an Outlook calendar invite out, you can select who is required to attend vs. who is optional to attend.   When you open a new meeting invite, first add attendees in the "To" field.  Then click on "Scheduling Assistant" in the top navigation bar. When in Scheduling Assistant, to the left of each person's name, you'll see a small icon.  This shows that the attendee is currently listed as "Required" for this meeting. When you click on this icon a drop down menu will appear.  Here you can change the status for this person to "Optional". You'll see the icon by the attendees name has now been changed. For any invite you can have a mixture of Required and Optional attendees, just change the icon for each person to the appropriate status.
