Keeping our network - and your files - secure

E-mail security is always worth getting a refresher on!  Compromised e-mail accounts can affect all of us, sometimes even causing lost documents or lost work. OCA has a presentation explaining the type of attacks they see, and how to avoid them.   Please read this presentation from an OCA computer. Four key tips to remember: If you aren't expecting an e-mail from someone, do not open it. If you do open it, definitely think twice before clicking on a link or opening an attachment. Don't give into any pop-ups or advice asking you to install software.  No software should be installed without approval from the IT department. When in doubt, ask IT for advice!

Schedule your e-mails to send in the future

Did you know you can delay delivery of your e-mail messages?  In Outlook, you can schedule individual messages to be sent at a later time, or even set-up a rule so that all of your e-mails are delayed a few minutes before they're sent.  Learn more here . Note: you must have your computer turned on and Outlook open at the time you want to send the message. If you are a Gmail user, Boomerang   allows you to schedule your e-mails for the future and more. The free version has a limit of 10 e-mails per month.

It has many additional features for your team.  (free and paid versions) Trello is a website for teams who are more visual. It allows you to create buckets to organize tasks into - this could be as simple as moving tasks from Assigned, In pro...
